On 11 June 2024, our Managing Consultant Heiko Riemer gave a presentation at Silicon Saxony Day on the use of synergies between Gen Z and Boomers/Gen X. Currently, most HR strategies seem to be targeting Gen Z, but this alone will not solve the skills shortage with AI. Utilising age potential is crucial for sustainable success. Boomers and Gen X bring an enormous wealth of experience with them, while Gen A and Gen Z inspire with fresh ideas and a digital mindset. Especially in times of a shortage of skilled labour, it is important to retain knowledge within the company and promote it through cross-generational collaboration. As a selected speaker, he spoke on the HR stage about the importance of engaging older generations in the world of work.
