Solutions Architect / Field Application Engineer (FAE) – Automotive, Transportation & Industrial Automation

Location: France (Remote/Flexible)

Overview:
Our client, a leading embedded software provider, is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect / Field Application Engineer (FAE) to work with Automotive, Transportation, and Industrial Automation customers across Europe. This is an exciting opportunity to serve as the primary technical interface between customers and internal project teams, contributing to cutting-edge developments in intelligent and connected embedded systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the technical point of contact for customers, providing in-depth product knowledge and guidance throughout project cycles.
• Conduct technical product and solution presentations, demonstrations, and on-site support for customer installations.
• Deliver technical trainings to customers and partners, including setup, configuration, and integration of products.
• Analyze customer requirements and collaborate with internal teams to prepare required documentation, such as ROMs (Rough Order of Magnitude) and DoW (Definition of Work).
• Contribute to the creation of pre-sales, sales, and marketing materials by developing technical documentation.
• Collect and share customer feedback to help refine product development and align with market segment strategies.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Software Engineering (or a related field).
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in embedded systems or embedded software development, support, testing, or validation.
• Strong expertise in embedded system development (Linux, RTOS, Hypervisor, POSIX).
• Experience within automotive, transportation systems, or industrial automation, particularly in intelligent or connected devices.
• Proven ability to engage and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, project managers, and executives, across multiple disciplines.
• Fluent in both French and English (written and spoken).
