Head of Sales – Education Sector
UK & Ireland | National Role
We are recruiting on behalf of a leading organisation within the lighting and built environment sector for a Head of Sales – Education Sector. This senior role focuses on driving growth across Universities and Colleges throughout the UK and Ireland by developing strong sector relationships, increasing market share and positioning the business as a partner of choice within the education sector.
Key Responsibilities

Contribute to and deliver the Go-To-Market strategy, ensuring best-in-class execution within the education sector.

Drive existing strategic initiatives including efficiency, carbon reduction, circular economy and student wellness, while developing a clear understanding of competitor positioning.

Build and maintain a balanced portfolio of accounts, with a strong focus on Universities and Colleges across the UK and Ireland.

Support and educate established networks including architects, consultants, contractors and cost consultants on a client-by-client basis.

Develop and implement a University and College influencer strategy to improve market traction, client insight, specification strength and design-and-build contractor support.

Assist clients with writing specifications and designing appropriate systems, including producing quotations based on project drawings and specifications.
Skills & Experience Required

Degree qualified (or equivalent) with strong technical and commercial understanding of lighting.

Recognised management or leadership qualification is advantageous.

Solid lighting and electrical knowledge, with the ability to carry out lighting designs and develop design briefs.

Proven ability to manage accounts professionally and build effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

Strong networking capability and commercial awareness.

Excellent presentation and negotiation skills, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
