Analog IC Design Engineer
Location: Ontario, Canada
Type: Full-time | Permanent | Confidential Client
We are recruiting on behalf of a cutting-edge semiconductor company founded by a team of pioneers in communications and compute. Their legacy includes breakthroughs like the first long-haul fiber networks, early-generation cable modems, and industry-leading DSL systems—contributions that have reshaped global connectivity. Today, they're solving the next generation of bandwidth and performance challenges by developing advanced analog and mixed-signal ICs for high-performance datacenter infrastructure.
They’re now seeking an Analog IC Design Engineer to join their growing team in Ontario. This is a rare opportunity to work with a deeply experienced team on designs that will define the future of high-speed connectivity.
What you’ll do:
-
Design high-performance analog and mixed-signal circuits for next-gen datacenter communication systems
-
Contribute to block-level and top-level IC architecture, simulation, and layout
-
Perform design verification and silicon validation
-
Collaborate cross-functionally with digital, layout, and system teams
-
Participate in the definition of specs, schedules, and delivery of silicon products
What you bring:
-
3+ years of hands-on experience in analog/mixed-signal IC design
-
Strong background in CMOS circuit design (amplifiers, PLLs, ADCs, drivers, etc.)
-
Solid understanding of signal integrity, noise, and high-speed design principles
-
Familiarity with industry-standard tools (e.g. Cadence, Spectre, MATLAB, etc.)
-
BSc, MSc, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field
Bonus points for:
-
Experience with SerDes or high-speed I/O design
-
Tape-out experience and familiarity with the full silicon lifecycle
-
Exposure to datacenter, networking, or communication system requirements
If you’re ready to build the backbone of future compute and communication platforms, we’d love to hear from you.
