We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading company in the data centre industry, for an experienced Financial Controller to oversee financial planning, reporting, and analysis for their operations in Frankfurt. This is a key role within the organisation, ensuring financial transparency, efficiency, and strategic decision-making in a dynamic, high-growth sector.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
  • Prepare and present financial reports and performance analysis to senior management.
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights to drive business performance.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and optimise cost control, cash flow, and financial risk management.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to provide financial guidance on business decisions.
  • Support internal and external audits, ensuring financial integrity and transparency.
  • Implement and improve financial processes, reporting systems, and controls.


Requirements:

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; a professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA) is an advantage.
  • Proven experience in financial controlling, preferably within the data centre, technology, or infrastructure sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of German GAAP (HGB), IFRS, and financial regulations.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to translate financial data into strategic insights.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
  • Fluent in German and English.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
