Company Timeline
1997
Microscape is founded
Incorporated as Microscape Recruitment Ltd on 21st April 1997, MRL is founded in Brighton, United Kingdom.
2001
The Dotcom Bubble
Until 2001, Microscape had primarily focused on the semiconductor industry. The Dotcom bubble recession led us to diversify into the finance and risk industry, launching MRL Financial in 2004.
2006
Sophia Antipolis
In 2006, MRL opened our office in Sophia Antipolis, France to support Southern-Europe.
2007
Company rebrand
In 2007, Microscape Recruitment Ltd rebranded to MRL Consulting, setting the foundations for how we're recognised today. The tagline 'recruiting excellence' was coined, and has stayed with us ever since.
2008
Dresden Office
In 2008 we opened an office in Dresden to support the DACH region.
2008
MRL Group expands
Following the Lehman Brothers financial crash of 08', MRL Consulting expanded further to mitigate the impact that the crash had on the financial sector. MRL Group was born, and sub-brands for each of the key industries were formed.
2018
Company rebrand
In 2018, MRL rebranded to the company you see today. A modern take on a brand with so much history and heritage.
2019
4-day week
In 2019, after a 6-month trial, MRL launched the 4-day week for every single member of staff across all 3 offices.
2022
25th Anniversary
On April 21st, 2022, MRL celebrated their 25th anniversary; a quarter of a century of recruiting excellence
2022
US Entity
Following the success of our expansion into the US market, MRL formed a US entity in Delaware.
